Care Givers

At FindCareHomes.com we work with caregiver agencies throughout the state.  We've done some homework to help you decide on who your best choices are in your area.

Some of the things we look at are:

  • Hiring practices

  • Regulation

  • Price

  • Location

  • Legitimacy of Business

Hiring a caregiver to come to your home and provide care is very common.  Caregivers provide a number of services including

• Companionship
• Constant monitoring
• Meal Preparation
• Bathing Assistance
• Grooming
• General Hygiene
• Laundry
• Light Housekeeping

Cost can be range from $15-$30 an hour and often require minimum amounts of hours and days.

Regulation:  Unless you're working with Certified Nursing Assistant, Licensed Vocational Nurses or Registered Nurses their really is no requirements for someone to become a caregiver.  This is why we encourage our clients to do their homework before hiring someone to come into their home.

Unlike RCFE's (Residential Care Homes for the Elderly) State Representatives do not randomly inspect caregiver practices.

Current Industry Trends: What we're seeing more of is that although the actual care providers may not have any certifications more owners of these agencies are somewhat regulated.  We're seeing many agencies owned by Registered Nurses and State Certified Administrators.
